To connect to Minter.io, your Instagram account must be set up as a Professional or Creator Profile. Personal Instagram accounts are currently not supported.
There are two ways to connect Instagram to Minter.io: directly via Instagram using your Instagram username and password, or via Facebook using the page linked to your Instagram profile.
Both connection methods allow you to access advanced analytics for your Instagram profile, including follower demographics, content performance, and overall profile metrics. However, due to current Instagram API limitations, some insights and data are not available when connecting Instagram directly using login credentials: Ads Analytics, Profile Mentions, Total Profile Reach, and collaborator usernames on collab posts.
Don't worry if your Instagram is not linked to a Facebook page. If you wish to access extended insights, you can always create a Facebook page for your profile and connect it to Minter.io later.
How to connect an Instagram profile with Instagram login
Click the "+Add" button in the upper left-hand corner of your Minter.io dashboard.
Select "Add Instagram" or navigate directly to https://minter.io/app/add.
Click "Connect Instagram."
You will be directed to Instagram to grant our app access to your insights.
Once you've given our app the requested permissions, you will be returned to Minter.io and your report will start generating.
How to connect an Instagram profile with Facebook
To connect Instagram with Facebook, you need to be logged into your personal Facebook account and be an admin of the Facebook page linked to the Instagram profile you want to connect.
Click the "+Add" button in the upper left-hand corner of your Minter.io dashboard.
Select "Add Instagram" or navigate directly to https://minter.io/app/add.
Click the "Connect via Facebook" link.
You will be directed to Facebook to give our app the necessary permissions for your managed pages.
Please ensure all the requested permissions for all your pages are enabled.
Once you've given our app the requested permissions, you will be returned to Minter.io to select the profile to connect.
You will see a list of Instagram profiles that you manage. Click "Add" next to the profile you want to connect. You can select multiple Instagram profiles here, so you won't need to connect each one individually.
How to switch Instagram connection from Instagram login to Facebook
You can reconnect a profile previously connected via Instagram login with Facebook at any time.
Open the Instagram profile you want to connect to Facebook on Minter.io.
Click the gear settings icon from the top menu and select "Reconnect via Facebook."
You will be directed to Facebook to give our app the necessary permissions for your managed pages.
Once you've given our app the requested permissions, you will be returned to Minter.io.
