You can now connect Instagram directly to Minter.io using your Instagram username and password - no Facebook page required! We're excited to bring direct Instagram integration to Minter.io, offering an easier and quicker setup process.
Minter.io will support two ways to connect Instagram, so you can still connect Instagram profiles you manage via Meta Business Suite with Facebook as before.
How to connect Instagram directly without Facebook:
Click the +Add button in the upper left-hand corner of your Minter.io dashboard.
Select Add Instagram Profile or navigate directly to https://minter.io/app/add.
Click the Connect Instagram button.
You will be directed to Instagram to grant our app access to your insights. Once you've given our app the requested permissions, you will be returned to Minter.io and your report will start generating.

Do I still need a Facebook account to connect with Instagram login?
No, direct Instagram authentication removes the requirement to connect to Instagram through Facebook. You can connect directly using your Instagram username and password.
Is a professional profile required to connect with Instagram login?
Yes, your Instagram profiles must be set up as a Business or Creator profile.
Is there any difference in insights available when I connect via Instagram vs. Facebook?
Unfortunately, there are currently a few limitations when you connect via Instagram without Facebook:
- Ads and Mentions cannot be tracked and are Facebook only insights.
- Collab posts that you shared will not display collaborators' usernames (but will still appear in your report).
- Product tags will not appear on posts.
My Instagram is already connected through Facebook. Do I need to reconnect via Instagram?
No, you do not need to reconnect. Both connection methods are supported.
I previously connected with Facebook. Can I reconnect with Instagram login instead?
Yes, you can switch connection methods at any time. Please note, however, that you may lose access to certain insights currently unavailable via direct Instagram integration, such as Ads and Mentions.
I have connected via Instagram but need Ads and Mentions insights.
Unfortunately, Ads and Mentions can only be tracked if your Instagram profile is connected via Facebook. However, you can link a Facebook page to your Instagram and connect it to Minter.io at any time. Learn how to switch to Facebook connection in our Help Center.
