Whenever you connect an Instagram account or a Facebook page to Minter.io, you need to give our app specific permissions to work properly.

If you see a No required permissions error or your page is not listed when trying to connect an Instagram profile or a Facebook page to Minter.io, it means some necessary app permissions are missing.

Here's what you can do:

Check if your Instagram is linked to a Facebook page

To connect an Instagram account, it needs to be a Business or Creator profile linked to a Facebook page that you manage. Pages that you manage can be Classic Pages or New Page experiences.

You can check the page linked and fix any connection errors in the Instagram mobile app:

  1. Go to your profile, then select Edit profile.

  2. Under Public Business Information, select 'Page'.

Please ensure your Instagram profile is linked to the correct Facebook page that you are an admin of.

If you see a Review Connection notice on this page, click it and follow the steps. If you successfully review the connection, you should be able to connect your Instagram account to Minter.io.

You can also check the page connection on Facebook.

If you have a Classic Page:

  1. Go to your Facebook page and click Settings in the bottom left.

  2. Select Instagram in the left column.

Please check the correct account is linked and review the connection if necessary.

If you have a New Page Experience:

  1. In your Facebook account, click on your profile photo in the top right.

  2. Click See all Profiles and select the page you want to connect.

  3. Click your page name in the left menu.

  4. Click Manage, then Linked accounts > Instagram.

If you see a Review Connection notice on this page, click it and follow the steps.

Check you have admin permissions

To see your role for a Classic Page:

  1. Go to your page and click Settings in the bottom left.

  2. Select Page Roles in the left column.

On that page, you can see your role listed below your name.

For a Classic page, Admin or Editor permissions are required to connect your account and access all the features of Mineter.io.

To see your New Page experience access:

  1. In your Facebook account, click on your profile photo in the top right.

  2. Click See all Profiles and select the page you want to connect.

  3. Click your page name in the left menu.

  4. Click Manage, then click Page access.

  5. Click your name to view access.

For New Page Experience, you need Insights, Content and Ads permissions to connect your profile and access all the data Minter.io provides.

If you do not have the required role or page access, you may need to contact the page owner or Business Manager admin to request those permissions. Learn how to give permissions to a Facebook page here: Managing roles for your Facebook page.

Enable two-factor authentication on Facebook

If the administrator of your page requires two-factor authentication, it needs to be set up on your personal Facebook profile too. You can find out how to enable two-factor authentication here: How two-factor authentication works on Facebook.

Re-authorize Minter.io's permissions on Facebook

If you have provided granular permissions when connecting your Facebook account or recently added or been granted admin access to a new page, you may need to re-authorize our app's permissions. To do so:

  1. In your Facebook account, navigate to Settings & privacy > Settings > Security and login > Business Integrations and remove the Minter.io integration by selecting it with the checkbox and then clicking the 'Remove' button.

  2. Go back to your account on Minter.io and try connecting your account again.

  3. When you get to the "Choose what you allow" step on Facebook, please ensure you turn on all the permissions (if you don't, it cannot work properly).
