We've added two new metrics for Instagram — Accounts Engaged and Engagement Rate — which provide deeper insights into your audience's interactions with your account.
Accounts Engaged shows how many unique Instagram accounts have interacted with your posts, stories and ads during a selected timeframe. Interactions contributing to this metric can include actions such as likes, saves, comments, shares, or replies.
The Total number of Accounts engaged is currently only available for date ranges of less than 30 days.
Please keep in mind that Accounts Engaged inludes only unique accounts that interacted with your content, so calculating this number for longer timeframes by simply summing up daily values would result in counting the same user more than once, leading to non-unique data.
Engagement Rate shows the percentage of followers who interacted with your posts, stories or ads during a selected date rage. It is calculated as the number of Accounts Engaged, divided by the number of Followers on a given day
You can find the new Accounts Engaged and Engagement Rate metrics in the Profile tab of your Instagram report. Historical data for these metrics is viable starting May 2023.
